Creating A God-Centered Family Using A Family Vision Frame

Episode Overview

Why A Family Vision Frame Will Help Your Family

Proverbs 29:18a says, “Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint…”

This simple, yet profound verse speaks to the power of vision. With vision, we see clearly and find direction. Without it, we wander aimlessly, hoping to figure out whatever lies ahead.

God not only wants us to have vision for our lives, marriages & families, but He gives it as well. Through prayer, we believe God will help you to not only create, but live out the plan and purpose that He has for your family.

Vision

The center of our frame answers the question, “Where is God taking our family?” Without a destination, it is nearly impossible to find direction.

Mission

The top of our frame is our mission. Here, we are asking the question, “What does God want our family to do.” Vision is wonderful, but eventually we have to move to action. Your mission moves you closer to your vision.

Core Values

Your values reveal your family’s why. In fact, your values are what inform your vision. By recognizing the most important areas to your family, you begin to form your identity and can better answer the question of what is most important to you.

Strategy

Your family’s strategy will show you how you are going to get from where you are to where God is taking you. These are carefully devised plans that will be executed to propel your family forward.

Scoreboard

Your scoreboard lets you know when you are winning (or losing). Your scoreboard is concrete, clear and visible. Use it to keep track of whether or not your moving toward your vision, as well as when to make modifications.
